One Day Five Skills
Overview
This is recommended as a Parent / Child pair course
The program is held at Clifford Park Activity Centre in Wonga Park Victoria, but we can also deliver it closer to your area if travel is an issue. It’s a full day of learning and growth, centred around five essential bushcraft skills — each connected to a key personal development theme:
-
Self-Aid – Care: Building awareness, empathy, and responsibility through basic first aid and self-management.
-
Knots – Connection: Problem-solving and fine motor skills that mirror how we can untangle life’s challenges and strengthen our connections.
-
Shelter – Safety: Cooperative problem-solving that reinforces the value of teamwork, planning, and creating safe spaces.
-
Fire – Focus: Learning patience, responsibility, and how to channel energy and passion effectively.
-
Water – Clarity: Filtering and purifying water as a metaphor for clear thinking, calmness, and wise decision-making.
Our approach ties these lessons together through our Everyday Bushcraft values
Care, Connection, Safety, Focus, and Clarity
helping students strengthen both their practical capabilities and emotional wellbeing.
We’ve seen fantastic results in both primary and secondary programs, where students (as well as parents and teachers) not only learn useful outdoor skills but also walk away with greater self-belief, patience, and teamwork.
